California OneCare: Full Care, For All, For Less

Single payer, universal health insurance is the only real solution to the health care crisis. The principles of single payer are presented in this video which is hosted by Senator Mark Leno and narrated by Elliott Gould. The video explains how single payer works, what it covers, and how it will be financed. It also shows how you can join the California OneCare Campaign, a statewide grassroots effort to pass SB 810, the single payer bill in California. The video is presented by Health Care for AllCalifornia, a non-profit, non-partisan grassroots organization.

We have a single-payer system, the American taxpayer. What’s causing the system to fail are the non-tax paying recipients…..The taxpayer will always bear the burden so long as there are so many who leach off of our system….

@spirittruth76 I don’t trust government health care just yet. Look up Codex Aluminarius and other crap they try to throw in there.

We need to pass single-payer universal STATE- BY-STATE slowly but surely.

Somewhere along the way the TV programming ate into our brains.
I feel positive that we are waking up though, in waves.

it’s no surprise congress listens to “them” and not us. there are nearly 4 paid, professional private health insurance lobbyists for every 1 member of congress!

What’s so wrong here is that a video with Jennifer Anniston got 934,305 views and this VERY IMPORTANT message only got 6, 294 views. We are messed up as a society!

We should be proud of finally having a president with a good character and help him to make this world a better place. It seems that his qualities are more appreciated in foreign countries than in his home land.
What has to be said about national healthcare? The Ins. industry “swindlers and charlatans” must have been stopped long ago, it is a blatant shame that the USA up to now were not capable to implement a national healthcare which would bring great relief to the millions of poor citizens.

    GOOD NEWS!
Californias State Senate passed landmark healthcare reform legislation, SB 810, that calls for sweeping changes in the financing of health care. The measure passed by a healthy 22-14 vote.
Thank you Senator Leno and others for your efforts. I hope you’ll be a GREAT example to WAKE up the rest of government leaders nationwide, to provide us a TRUE universal healthcare system and relief for ALL Americans.

Universal healthcare a single payer doesn’t work? What a joke! That’s the one and only way that “really” works for all people. Look: Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, England, Sweden… and many others. No problem at all! The only problem is that the most of Americans live in big “delusions” provided by “insurance industry” and some politicians, who are only stealing their money without enough healthcare or leave them with huge bankruptcies without MERCY.

That woman is my wife. She is indeed covered by the LA Unified School District. But even though she had coverage, no doctor at St. Joseph’s hospital would take her case because our health plan–Blue Cross California HMO–wouldn’t pay enough for any of them to bother. They refused to admit her, and told her to go home and see her own doctor the next day.

You’re forgetting that the democrats had a supermajority and even obama didn’t directly propose or pressure for UHC or even single payer, it goes deeper than the guns n jesus freaks that’s just a symptom of corporate interest

Republicans are the Disease and Cancer to this Country , they could fk anything up with their big Govt controlled Illegal Laws in the favor of corporate interests…
They keep it deregulated for the insurance companies and the Pharmacy drug makers, so they can get campaign kickbacks and donations so they can profit .. just like they did by raising oil prices during both bush presidency’s, the state of the economy is a good eye opener for people to be angry at the party who created a Recession.

California , Leads the rest of the Country and always has.
Look at the state of the Economy?
    It is a REPUBLICAN RECESSION.
The Governor is an actor and republican like reagan was, same times ,same polices= same economy!
you Right winged kooks are the disease & cancer of this Country! hiding behind patriotism , while spewing ANTI~DEMOCRACIES.
Gov arnold, has been making sure those funds are misappropriated to the same people that screwed the working class, its the working class that helps!

    LisaHaley;
WE ? if that was true which it is NOT!
WE would never have voted in Bush twice to Re-create the Rethgulikkkan Recession.

[We] never learned anything from voting in Bush jr , after going through the same after 2 terms of reagan and one of bush sr, what was the state of the economy every one of those time frames after these neo scumz.
talk about hitler similarities and depleted social and economical status.
you better do your history research before yacking ..

We already learned this lesson in the 80’s:

“Life is not fair, and it is not the responsibility of the US Government to make it fair.”
    - President Jimmy Carter

After his unsuccessful attempt to fill the never-ending money pit of the welfare state drove America into its worst recession in history.

    Add conditions:
“- If a citizen’s current healthcare plan is CHEAPER and COVERAGE IS EQUAL OR BETTER THAN “CaliforniaCare,” that citizen’s rates cannot be raised, and their benefits must not decrease.”

Otherwise, the rest of us go bankrupt covering illegal aliens. (Notice the ad says “California Residents,” will be covered, not “Legal Residents.”)

The profits by current health co’s wouldn’t put a dent in the cost. This is Socialism at its worst.

Why do you keep on about the Brits’ teeth? Why are you so obsessed with this? They don’t have bad teeth, I often go to the UK and I can assure you, the Brits have fine teeth, white, straight and without excessive gapping, maybe you saw a movie with Terry Thomas or an old Pogues concert with Shane McGowan. So now you think you’re an authority on the English dental situation.

How does the FOX News-Making Channel get away with calling their insultingly obvious propaganda and opinions against health care reform “NEWS!”
Until YOUR life and well being has been turned upside-down by BIG INSURANCE delays and denials, you’re spouting off about something which you know nothing about, yet!
If it’s lies you want, listen to the corporate puppets at this Summer’s (2009) “Town Hall Meetings”. Or better yet, go back to your FOX News Channel, to hear what you want to hear.
